Mitch Possinger, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, MBA
Mitch, co-founder and managing partner at Culinesse, is also co-owner of two boutique hospitality properties, Sayre Mansion Inn and Silver Birches Resort.
Mitch is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA and earned his MBA from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA. Starting his career in foodservice as a teenager by working at a family-owned dairy and food vending company in the Poconos, Mitch went on to serve as his college fraternity’s steward at Muhlenberg. After graduation from college in 1977, he rose to the rank of regional sales manager at ARA Services in 1983 and then to executive vice president of operations at The Wood Company in 1992.
In 1996 he founded Cura Hospitality, a Pennsylvania-based provider of senior living and acute care services. Mitch also assisted in the founding of Parkhurst Dining Services, members of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group.
In 2015, Cura joined the Elior North America family of companies to strengthen the resources and operational efficiencies of Cura. Joining Elior has made a positive impact on the communities Cura serves making us—small enough to care… big enough to make a difference.
A committed volunteer, Mitch serves on the Boards of Directors of Phoebe Ministries, and Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation. He received Phoebe Ministries’ Deaconess Award, the Association of Fundraising Professional’s Corporation of the Year Award and the ELCA NEPS “Love in Action Award.” In his professional capacity, he also served on the Board of Directors of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group.
Previously he served on the Boards of Directors of Muhlenberg College, Highlands of Wyomissing, Diakon Social Ministries, Philadelphia and Gettysburg Seminaries, and A’viands Food and Service Management.
Mitch is married to The Rev. Jami Possinger, an ordained minister who serves a parish in Cherryville, PA. Mitch and Jami are parents to three and grandparents to three. They reside in Paupack, PA.
Lisa Schairer, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, MBA, RDN
With 20 years of experience in the healthcare food & nutritional services industry, Lisa was previously the Managing Director/President of Cura Hospitality, a member of Elior North America. With a diverse background in both operations and nutritional services, Lisa is experienced in developing and implementing operational strategies to open new locations, introduce technology systems and optimize resources.
Lisa establishes a solid foundation for culinary innovation, operational excellence, and exemplary customer service. With a customer-centric approach to each client engagement, Lisa works closely with her operations teams to increase organizational efficiencies, develop centralized resource plans, and identifies opportunities for significant cost savings by implementing operational standards across our clients’ organizations.
Lisa resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband Gavin and two children.
Mike Page, Principal and Senior Vice President
Mike is a 35-year sales and marketing veteran specializing in the senior living market.
During that time Mike has been actively engaged in creating marketing and financial models that improve the service outcomes to residents and financial results for his clients.
In his role as a business development leader, Mike has built effective partnerships with a wide variety of senior living clients across the country from Diakon in Pennsylvania to Human Good in California.
For the last several years Mike has been focused on the rapidly changing expectations of new generations entering our communities. A demand for more choice coupled with higher levels of discretionary income, a wellness orientation and technological “savvy” approach are just a few of the new lifestyle requirements. Speaking to the future of these key areas has become a primary focus for Mike in addressing both selling strategies for community marketing teams and leadership coaching. To that end, Mike spent 2020 in a highly regarded and challenging certification process sponsored by Co-Active Training.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, plus four years of part-time study with Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
Julian Hutton, Operations Manager
Coming to Culinesse with years of experience in senior living and an entrepreneurial mindset, Julian brings over a decade of hospitality industry experience to the table.
After graduating from elite institutions in Scotland, France, and England (Julian is a dual British and US citizen), and joining the British Army as an Infantry Officer, Julian went on to start his own tourism company and invest in the tourism industry.
From there, he joined a hospitality company that caters to luxury hotels and resorts before continuing to move up the chain and finally become the Operations Manager at Culinesse!
Gavin Schairer, Director of Partnership Development
Gavin brings a unique skill set to Culinesse as an educator and coach for more than 14 years in Illinois and Wisconsin schools. His ability to connect and motivate students propelled him into a sales position for education companies such as Booksource and Stenhouse Publishers.
Gavin’s success in educating his customers on the products he represents is perfect in his role as director of partnership development. Gavin’s patience, knowledge and strong desire to closely work with each and every one of his clients has earned him the utmost respect and trust of the customers he serves.
A graduate of Bradley University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and a master’s degree from Aurora University, Gavin is dedicated to his children Anne and Luke he shares with his wife, Lisa!
